Some People's Children

Should parents of teenagers allow their teens to drink at home? First, do the parents feel safer in knowing where their children are when they are drinking?. Second, will this lead to parents throwing alcohol parties for their twelve year old kids using the logic that if they did not their young children would drink somewhere else?
