I think both are equally important, but i think without safety we wouldn't have freedom. I think as citizens of the U.S. in order to secure our freedoms we need to make sure we keep our country safe and have justice when needed. I think just knowing we are safe it gives us more freedom to do as we please with our lives as long as we abide by the law.
I agree with Andrea, both are equally important. Safety and freedom go hand in hand. I think to have freedom we need safety. When we infringe on someone elses freedom and safety that is where our freedom ends.
I think that for me personally freedom is more important, i agree to a point with andrea, they can not exist without eachother. However if all we are is safe, then we are just like rats in a cage, if all we are is free, then we are not safe from other peoples actions. We need to have a balance, there needs to be a point where the law takes charge to make sure you are safe, and if that means giving up a few freedoms then so be it.
I feel that we can have both, as it is already occuring in the US of A. We still have many freedoms, but we are also safe and well protected. (countless hidden nukes!) Eat that North Korea!
i think that you can have both and both are important. the only freedoms we don't have are those that mess with the saftey and freedom of others, so i guess in a way, safety is more important.
I think that personally i would rather be free. Because i would rather take a chance with someone doing something stupid then letting the government control my life.
I think that both are equally as important. Freedom is limited to certain things and safety is the reason for that. If we had complete freedom and no safety there would be chaos. There needs to be safety so people aren't just going out doing anything they want and getting hurt and freedom is what makes the USA a place where a lot of people want to live. They want to experience our freedom.
I agree with Andreas point that without safety we wouldn't have freedom, i also agree with Alison's point that the only freedoms we don't have are the things that mess with other peoples freedom and safety. So in my opinion i think that freedom and safety have pretty equal importance.
Freedom is very important, but there must be a limit on the amount of freedom we are granted. For instance, if we were truly, completely free that murder wouldn't be a crime, and I don't think I would feel very safe if that were true. But to be completely safe, you might as well not have a life.
Both are important. I think we need both to keep our country running smoothly, and i think we have both. So yea, gotta love the safety and freedom.
I think both freedom and safety are very important, but, if i had to choose between the two I would say that freedom is more important than safety. Freedom is more important because if you don't have it who cares about being safe and sound in a world where you have no ability to choose what you do with your life every day. If you're free you can take safety into your own hands
I think both because you need both freedom and safety, to make it in the world.
Freedom is the most important to me. This is because of a different background that my people were "Free" but they were no where near "Safe". Safety is important as well but I cherish freedom more. However, like Andrea states they can not exist without the other. That is why we have our laws to protect our freedoms and the freedoms of others.
Both are very important to me, but if I had to choose one I'd probably say safety, because I don't want to get blown up. I'm also not sure if you can have one without the other, because people are taking that freedom and causing others to feel unsafe. But I like to think that here in the US we do have both 24/7...well, maybe not on Syracuse street, but whatever
both are very important, but i think that freedom over safety. because if you had safety, you could not do a thing. Ever one would have to be put in padded rooms. you cant prevent accidents from happening. But with freedom as much freedom as you want. Someone could kill you. there would be absolute chaos. I could not live with either of them. but if i had to chose i would go with freedom. because i can not stand being locked up all the time or have so many rules i could not keep track of all of them.
I think that we couldn't have safety without freedom because without our freedoms people would go crazy and individuals couldn't keep themselves safe. I think we can have both because we need both to keep the peace in this world.
I think we would need both cause we need a little freedom and a little safety in our lives. We can still have fun anywhere we go.
I think we should always have safety. Because if their is no safety in this world we would always be afraid about what will happen any minute.
I believe that safety is more important, but at the same time so is freedom. In the end I would choose safety over freedom. Safety and freedom do go hand in hand and to have peace at mind i think you need to have both.
They are both important, you need safety to have freedom. I agree with Tiffany, you might have to give up some freedoms to be safe.
they are equally important but with out safety the world would be a big riot and alot of crimes
Freedom and safety are about the same in my mind we need both of them to do much of anything in are united states
i think that safety is more important. without safety someone would kill me. no thank you. but i do think that freedom is important as well. gotta love both of 'em!
