Freedom of Choice Act
Should Congress pass the Freedom of Choice Act, making it a fundamental right of every woman to have an abortion?
absolutely! it's a woman's right to have a baby, why should it not be her right to have an abortion? there should be limitations of course, like if the person is using abortion as her main means of birth control, she should be denied; however, if someone is being careful and not just relying on the fact that they can go get an abortion whenever necessary i dont see why its a big deal as long as it is done while the baby is just a blob of cells and not an actual person. long term abortion is another story entirely! dont even get me started on that...
I think that if a women feels the need to have an abortion that is her business and i think she should be able to make that decision, but i think she needs to make that decision early so its not a long term abortion. I have no problem with women who get abortions but they need to handle it the right way. I also think if you have more than a couple you just need to be responsible and have the child or JUST DONT HAVE SEX! I think in some situations its ok and in others No...Im kind of on the fence i can go either way on this subject depending on what we are talking about!
i have always been completely against abortion. So i think it should be the governtments job to say that its wrong, however in the society we live in today, more people Disagree with me than agree with me, so take a dang vote and let the public decide what they want to do with these unborn children, besides isnt that what our government was founded on... letting the people decide?
Of course. Every woman should be able to make their own decisions. For those who are anti-abortion, I say we put the Rape Card into play. If a woman who is raped gets pregnant, she should definitely be able to have an abortion.
yes it truth that it is a woman's right to have a baby. But what about the guy. It take two people to make things happen. What if he dosen't what the abortion. But the woman does, how would they handle that? Next thing you know woman will be getting sued for having an abortion that the guy did not agree to. I'm not sure what to think about abortion.
I personally do not like abortion. I think it is terrible and hate the fact that it even exists. But it is simply a fact of life. As much as I hate it, it is the womans choice. And if it were mad illegal, it would only make it that much more dangerous. Making it illegal will not stop the problem, desperate women will turn to other more dangerous ways to avoid having a baby.
I'm with Tiffany on this one I am completely against abortion. But I know that many people disagree with me on this issue. I think that the government needs to let the people decide on this law. I also agree with Tehnee on that it is a terrible thing and I wish it never existed.
i think that this law should be passed! if a women doesn´t want to be pregnant, then it´s her decision. And for all the people who are against abortion because they think it means destroying life, i don´t think so. Because if a pritty young woman for example gets pregnant, then she can´t finish up school and have a good work. so she doesn´t make any money and can´t afford an education for her child and so two lifes are kind of destroyed... or not.
i agree with andrea. i think it should be the womans choice. i dont think abortion should be used as birth control, but if a woman gets raped or something i dont think that she should have to have that baby, nor do i think she should be made to feel bad she had an abortion.
I'm against abortion, if the woman doesn't want a baby then there are ways to not get pregnant...its not the babies fault that the woman was dumb and got pregnant, it shouldnt be the baby that has to pay for the moms mistake.
i am completely against abortion. why should you have the ability to kill a living thing? if you don't want to get pregnant use protection, when you have sex you're taking the risk to get pregnant, you should know that when you have sex. if you don't want to deal with the responsibilty or the consequences don't do it. and in the case if you get raped, theres always the morning after pill or other means of stopping it. You can visit the doctor and he can stop the fertilization before it occurs. so i say no to abortion.

It's a woman's right to have a baby, I think that every woman should choose to have a baby or not. Maybe it's better if she doesn't have the baby. It's a personal choose.
It will always be a right for women to choose to have an abortion, but that doesn't mean its right. Because I am pro life I am totally against abortion. I agree with Allison when she says there should be limitations. Such as if a girl is raped or something, but still if she is going to have an abortion she needs to do it when the baby is just cells. Long term abortion should not even be allowed.
I dont think they should pass the act becasue then women will feel like they can take advatange of it and just have an abortion whenever they just don't feel like taking care of a baby and excepting their responsisbilites. I think the only time abortion is okay is in special circumstances when it has been incest or rape, or if it puts the mothers life at risk. But overall I ahve always been against people having abortions. Your killing another human being.

It's the woman's body, the woman's life. Let her make her own decision if she wants to have an abortion.
